STICK SYSTEM

The oldest type of curtain wall is the stick system. It features a cladding and exterior wall system that is hung on the building structure from floor to floor. The stick system is assembled in the field using various component, including anchors, mullions, rails, vision glass, spandrel glass, insulation and metal back pans. IN addition, there are various hardware components, including connectors, setting blocks, corner blocks, pressure plates, caps, gaskets and sealants.  The stick system is airtight and resistant to water penetration and quick and easy to install.

Advantages
– Airtight and resistant to water penetration
– Flexible in transportation, installation.
–  Suited for angular and complex façades

Disadvantages
– Slow process of assembly on site
– Glass units must be installed from the outside of the building
